Mikavae® MK 1610N Redispersible polymer powder (RDP) is a free-flowing, white powder obtained by spray drying of an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene(VAE) copolymer dispersion, uses polyvinyl alcohol as a protective colloid., It offers all the advantages of a free-flowing powder additive such as ease of transportation, storage and handling.

MK1610N is an RDP model suitable for many fields, thanks to its excellent bonding strength, water retention, and other performance characteristics.
Mikavae® Redispersible polymer powers are especially suited for the construction industry, working as an important additive in dry mix mortar. It can empower the mortar with improved adhesion, flexural strength, deformability, abrasion resistance, and easy construction.
By adding RDP to water, the RDP forms an emulsion layer in the water, thereby increasing the adhesive ability of tile adhesive, making the tiles less prone to slipping.
When RDP is added to tile grout, it can improve the bonding strength, water resistance, and durability of the grout. RDP helps enhance the adhesion of the grout, reduce cracking, and increase its elasticity and durability.
Adding RDP to wall putty reduces shrinkage cracks during drying, smoothens the surface, and enhances water resistance, making it more durable against moisture.
Repair mortars need to have excellent workability during construction. Adding RDP to the mortar can make it easier to use.
RDP acts as a barrier in the external wall insulation system, preventing water infiltration, reducing energy consumption and heat loss, and enhancing the insulation capability of the system.
The flowability, water resistance, and adhesion of self-leveling compounds are crucial both during and after construction. Adding RDP is the most effective way to enhance and improve these performance aspects.
