MikaZone™ MK100E Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose Ether(HEMC) is designed for use in gypsum-based mortars, especially wall putty. It imparts good workability, enhances water retention, and optimizes the plaster’s performance. MikaZone™ MK100E is compatible with a wide range of building materials.

MK100E exhibits excellent qualities in water retention, workability, and other aspects.
The adhesion strength, water retention capability, flowability, and plasticity of wall putty are crucial performance requirements for creating a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface. HEMC enhances the quality of wall putty through a series of chemical reactions.
Gypsum plasters are a common interior decorative material, typically used as surface coatings for walls and ceilings. This plaster is made by mixing gypsum powder and water, used to cover and smooth wall surfaces. During mixing, HEMC powder is added to the plaster to improve workability, adjust viscosity, and enhance sag resistance.
Repair mortar is a material used to repair and restore the surfaces of concrete, brick walls, or other building materials. It can be employed to repair concrete structures, walls, floors, or other building surfaces. The addition of HEMC in mortar is aimed at enhancing the mortar’s water retention, workability.

For optimal storage of MikaZone cellulose ether products, it is recommended to keep them in a cool, dry environment. The shelf life is 2 years.
For high viscosity grades, a gradual decrease in viscosity may be observed after prolonged storage (> 1 year). It is important to reseal the product after opening to prevent moisture absorption during use.
